THE PROMPT (From DisneyImaginations.com) “Choose an actual abandoned [area] or “ghost town” from anywhere in the world and re-vitalize it! It might be as a working town, a historical landmark, a living museum, a themed experience, or whatever else you can dream up. Consider historical value and respect for the traditions and communities of the original and surrounding areas. You can integrate the entire town, or carefully selected sections that best serve your idea and the location. Be mindful of any environmental impact that your proposal may have."
THE PROJECT Worked with three other SCAD students to develop a concept and create a design package in response to the above prompt. As project manager, my responsibilities included leading discussions, assigning tasks and organizing/compiling the final submission, which you see below. My creative contributions were: Writing (about 80% of the final text/copy), Graphics (including illustrations & the presentation design), and assistance with retouching renderings in Photoshop at the final stage of design. This project made it to the Semifinal Round of the competition.
