PROJECT OVERVIEW
With two other SCAD students, I developed a concept for an 8-minute pre-show that would precede ticketed entry into a museum dedicated to America’s first songwriter. The intent of the show was to get guests emotionally invested in Foster and his music, re-familiarize them with his most recognized works and introduce the content that would be elaborated on inside the museum. Together, we developed the concept for the show and determined what content should be included. My teammates concentrated on developing the rest of the visual deliverables for the project while I focused on the narrative and audio, though I did produce the included storyboards to supplement the script. DESIGN PROCESS
Nathan provided me with research on Foster, an outline for the show, and historic quotes that would support the plot points. I developed his outline and wove the provided facts and quotes into a narrative, which I then formatted into a formal script to be shared with our voice actors. I curated specific arrangements of Foster’s pieces that would enhance the emotional intent of the script and add variety to the show, while feeling authentic to Foster’s time period. I substantially edited the songs in Audacity to complement the dialogue and blend them seamlessly into one full-length audio track. The track includes exit music and a prompt to encourage guests to proceed into the museum. TEAMMATES
